  • Do I need to register to shop online?

    You do not need to register with us to shop online, you can check out as a 'Guest'.

    Although you do not have to register online to place an order, it will be more convenient for yourself if you did. Registering online will allow you to see into your account history; see recent orders, reorder old orders, see into your credit details and edit account information; and have the option to add products to your 'Wish List', making your whole experience with us online more pleasant.

  • How do I find the products I want?

    Browse the product categories or use the search bar. You can search by product name or product code or keyword. If you are a returning customer your order history will be available to repurchase. Also, you can choose products to be saved to your favourites.

  • What information do you provide about your products?

    We provide a range of useful information from size and ingredients, to where the product comes from. All information is provided in good faith, errors and omissions excepted.

  • How do I know my order has been accepted?

    Following checkout you will automatically receive any email to confirm receipt of your order. A second email will be sent to confirm acceptance of your order including delivery details and confirmation of payment.

  • Can I buy from overseas?

    Wing Yip Online Store is based in the UK, but you can buy from overseas countries. However you should be aware there are specific delivery charges for all overseas deliveries based on destination country, number of parcel and weight. At this time Wing Yip Online Store can only deliver to countries within the European Union. You will be charged a flat rate for orders up to £100, or your order will be processed as a quote for orders over £100. You will be emailed with the shipping costs once your order has been placed. Please allow approximately 3-5 days for a response.

  • What if my payment card is declined by Global Iris?

    It's worthwhile checking with your card issuer before contacting Mail Order. If there is a problem with your card you will be informed when you try to place your order.

  • Do you store my credit card details?

    A system called Tokenization is used as a secure way to store card details. Once details have been entered into the site, the information is encrypted and replaced with a 'token'. This 'token' recognises the details of a credit card when you come to use it again with your account. We work with Realex payments to ensure that we meet all PCI DSS Compliancy regulations.

  • What security do you have in place on the website?

    As well as being PCI DSS compliant, we also have EV SSL (extended validation) technology in place. We also ensure the online shopping site is checked on a daily basis by subscribing to McAfee's Secure Site. This is verified by us displaying the McAfee logo.   • What if I can't find what I want?

    If there a product you cannot see stocked on our online store but you have either seen it on sale in one of our Superstores or you would just like to see it stocked here please contact us, using the contact form.

  • Do you supply fresh and frozen products online?

    Please be aware this website only offers ambient products. If you would like to purchase fresh or frozen produce please visit one of our Wing Yip Superstores located in Manchester (M4 5HU), Birmingham (B7 5NT), Cricklewood (NW2 6LN) and Croydon (CR0 4RF).

  • Where do I enter my gift card / voucher / discount code in the system?

    If you have purchased a gift card or someone has purchased a gift card and given you the code, this needs to be entered at checkout by yourself. Click on the 'checkout' button and there is a field called 'Coupon or Gift Card' about half way down the page. Enter the code here.

    You are only permitted to use one 'gift card' code at a time, so if you have amounts left on multiple gift cards, you must combine them into one before using the correct code at checkout.

    If you have been emailed a discount code for a promotion (through an email mailshot or newsletter) or been given a discount code for any other reason, this also needs to be entered in the same box.

  • It is the responsibility of all customers to enter their own discount codes correctly at time of checkout and within the valid date period.

    Each time you enter a code successfully, the details of the promotion/gift card/voucher are displayed for you at the top of the checkout page.

    All promotions, offers and deals are subject to availability. Wing Yip reserve the right to decline, refuse or withdraw any promotion(s) if we feel that the promotion(s), deal(s) or offer(s) is in breach of our fair usage policy.

  • How much is your delivery charge?

    We have a standard delivery charge per order to most parts of the mainland United Kingdom based upon the delivery network of DPD and a package (including packaging and box) weighing less than 30kg.   • When will my order be dispatched?

    Your order will be despatched after we have confirmed acceptance of your order and receipt of payment. If you have ticked the option at stage 3 of the checkout process to be notified by text, we will send you an SMS message to your mobile when the order leaves our warehouse. With DPD's Predict and Follow my Parcel service, you will also receive email and/or text message notifications regarding the statue of your delivery.     Note: You will need to have a Mobile number set on your account for us to send a text message. This service is only available to customers with a UK mobile phone number.

  • Can you deliver to an alternative address to that registered on my credit/debit card?

    Yes we can, there may be an additional charge if the address is overseas.

  • My order has not been delivered what should I do?

    Please contact us and quote your Order reference number. We will check with our carrier and provide you with an update. If our courier has tried to delivery but no one was available to sign for the parcel, the good are taken back to the nearest depot. NO GOODS are left without a signature. If there is a card from the courier please contact them direct to arrange redelivery or pickup.

  • What recipes are available?

    Our Chef Lin has prepared over 200 popular and easy to follow recipes using products you can purchase in our stores. The ingredients for each dish are pre-selected and can be added to your shopping cart with a click of a button (they are listed at the bottom of each recipe).

  • How do I search for a recipe?

    You can browse through our recipes or search by ingredient or recipe name.

  • What types of recipes do you do?

    We do a range of recipes including starters, mains, side dishes, snacks, salads and desserts.

  • Can I search on recipes by the number of servings?

    Yes. All our recipes will have the number of persons the recipe will feed from couples to groups of people.

  • Are there any recipes which can be done in 20mins?

    Yes. You can search for recipes which can be completed by the cooking time ranging from 10mins to meals which take hours.

  • Do you offer Vegetarian recipes?

    Yes. We do a wide range of Vegetarian recipes from starters, side dishes, snacks, desserts and main meals.

  • What if you don't have a recipe for ingredients I have purchased?

    Our Chef Lin is on hand to provide you with culinary fusion recipes made with the ingredients purchased from the online website. Just drop us an email at whattowok@wingyip.com and tell us the ingredients you have and our Chef Lin will be happy to advise.

    NEW recipes are always being added on a regular basis, so it's also worthwhile subscribing to our newsletter as you'll then be the first to find out, or alternatively check back to the recipes page on a regular basis.

  • Can I write a review for any product?

    Once you are logged in, you are able to write a review for any product and we would encourage our customers to tell us what they think of the product with regard to its taste.

    Once you are logged in you are able to write a review for any recipe and we would encourage our customers to tell us what they think of the recipes, how easy they are to recreate, cook and prepare

  • Will my review be edited or removed?

    All reviews are subject to moderation and any review containing foul or abusive language may be remove or edited accordingly without notice. Our decision is final.

  • What tips can you give for writing a great review?

    Only review products that you have actually purchased and tried.

    Your review should be about the product, saying what you like or dislike about it and most importantly, why?

    Be as detailed as possible. Remember to think about the product's appearance, characteristics and how it was used. What would you have wanted to know before you purchased the product?

    Avoid mentioning things which can change, such as its price, any special offers and promotions, so that your review will not become out of date.

    Keep your review short, the best reviews are usually between 70 and 250 words.

    Please follow standard etiquette when writing your review. Do not use all caps, excessive symbols or slang.

    Please note that we can not publish the following:

    • Inappropriate language. Please do not use profanities, racist or sexual slurs, prejudiced, libellous or unlawful comments, or terms of abuse
    • Anything about any company or persons, including yourself. Please do not include actual names, telephone numbers, email address etc. in your review.
    • Anything mentioned about other companies or websites
    • Anything that is not original content. Including quotes, links or text that you have not written. Similarly please do not include second-hand information in your review or hearsay.
    • Any statements pertaining to delivery, availability or customer service. Please contact our Customer Service Team for issues of this nature. Our Rating & Reviews service is for feedback on the product only.
    • Reviews that do not comply with general review guidelines. Wing Yip will be able to edit words or phrases, therefore, any review containing any unacceptable content may not appear on the site.
